Costa Rica hospitals guide

Use official facility information to ask about the exact location and care you need.

Ask a coordinator

Start with the service and location

Ask the treating clinician which care setting is appropriate for your case. For planned care, confirm the facility’s full name, branch, address and the team responsible. A hospital group can have multiple locations with different services.

Official places to begin

Hospital Clínica Bíblica and Hospital Metropolitano publish their own facility and service information. Use their official contact details to confirm the branch, specialty and appointment arrangements. These links are directory starting points, not a ranking, endorsement or statement of a Green Healthcare partnership.

For public services, ask CCSS which facility and referral route apply to your active coverage. A preferred private facility and your assigned public pathway may differ.

Questions for a planned hospital visit

For urgent situations

Use emergency healthcare guidance rather than a planned-care inquiry. A hospital list cannot determine where an individual emergency should be treated. For non-emergency planning, tell your coordinator the city, specialty and support you are trying to arrange.
