Cremation is perhaps one of the oldest religious practices, dating back approximately to 3000 BCE. While the Catholic Church only recently accepted this practice, more and more people choose to bid farewell to their loved ones through this means.
As the practice of cremation has increased, so too have the myths and legends surrounding it. Many of these beliefs stem from the power of imagination and a lack of understanding of a process that is increasingly being carried out with greater precision.
