Which country is best for dental implants?

  • Costa Rica — best when you want the most published prices and single implants: implant $1,495, crowns and veneers $500/tooth, All-on-4 $16,800 (acrylic) or $19,500 (zirconia) + 4% tax with hotel nights included.
  • Mexico — best when the shortest trip from the U.S. matters most: All-on-4 from $16,800 (acrylic) or $19,500 (zirconia) with hotel nights; other treatment quoted after X-ray.
  • Colombia — best when you want major hospitals close by because of your medical history: same All-on-4 prices, planned near JCI-accredited hospitals in Cali.
  • All three cost roughly 45–75% less than typical U.S. All-on-4 prices ($30,000–$76,000 for both arches).
  • Through Green Healthcare, All-on-4 packages start at the same price in all three countries, so the choice comes down to travel, comfort and your health — not a race to the cheapest quote.

How to choose

Four questions that decide the country for you

1. Do you need one tooth or a full mouth?

For single implants, crowns or veneers, Costa Rica has the most published prices. For full-arch All-on-4, all three countries are priced the same.

2. How easy is the trip for you — twice?

All-on-4 takes two trips several months apart. If time off work is tight, Mexico's short flights help. From Florida, Costa Rica and Colombia are about three hours.

3. Do you have a medical condition?

Heart disease, diabetes or blood thinners? Colombia lets us plan near high-complexity hospitals in Cali; Costa Rica has Hospital Clínica Bíblica, JCI-accredited since 2007.

4. Who answers the phone after you are home?

This matters more than the country. Every Green Healthcare patient keeps the same bilingual advocate and a follow-up schedule at day 3, 30, 90 and month 12.

From Johnny Umaña, founder

"I priced All-on-4 the same in all three countries on purpose."

Patients kept asking which country was cheapest, when the real question was which one fit their life and their health. With the same package price everywhere, we can recommend the right place for you, not the place with the best margin.

Real questions

Questions patients ask us

Which country is best for dental implants: Costa Rica, Mexico or Colombia?

It depends on what you need. Costa Rica has the widest published price list (single implant $1,495, crowns and veneers $500 per tooth). Mexico is the shortest trip from most U.S. cities. Colombia is best if you want major hospitals nearby because of your medical history. Through Green Healthcare, All-on-4 is priced the same in all three.

Is Mexico cheaper than Costa Rica for dental implants?

For All-on-4 through Green Healthcare, no: acrylic starts at $16,800 and zirconia is $19,500 in both countries, with 8 or 10 hotel nights included. Costa Rica adds 4% tax. Single implants and crowns are published for Costa Rica ($1,495 and $500) and quoted after X-ray review in Mexico.

What is the cheapest country for All-on-4?

Prices advertised online vary widely and often leave out extractions, temporary teeth, hotel or the second trip. Through Green Healthcare, complete All-on-4 packages start at $16,800 for both arches in Costa Rica, Mexico and Colombia, with hotel nights included and a written itemized plan.

How much does All-on-4 cost in the U.S. compared with abroad?

Typical U.S. prices for both arches are $30,000–$50,000 for acrylic and $50,000–$76,000 for zirconia (Real Dental Costs, May 2026). Through Green Healthcare the same treatment is $16,800 or $19,500 with hotel nights included — roughly 45–75% less before airfare.

Is Costa Rica safe for dental tourism?

Costa Rica is one of the most established dental-tourism destinations in the Americas, with English widely spoken in dental clinics and JCI-accredited private hospitals such as Hospital Clínica Bíblica. As anywhere, the provider matters: check the dentist's license, implant system and written warranty.

How many trips does All-on-4 take in any of these countries?

Two. Implants and fixed temporary teeth on trip 1 (4–5 days), then final acrylic or zirconia teeth on trip 2 after several months of healing at home (4–5 days).

Do I need a passport and visa?

U.S. and Canadian citizens need a valid passport. Tourist stays of the length needed for dental treatment do not normally require a visa, but always check current entry rules for your nationality before you book.

What do I send to get a quote?

A panoramic X-ray or CBCT scan if you have one, a short health history and your goals. No X-ray yet? Send the form anyway — your coordinator explains how to get one locally or arranges imaging on arrival.

Is Green Healthcare the dentist?

No. Green Healthcare International is a U.S. veteran-led patient-advocacy and care-coordination company. Independent licensed dentists provide all treatment and confirm candidacy, plan and price in writing. We coordinate the review, travel logistics and follow-up.
